The Stiftsbäckerei is located in the pedestrian precinct of Salzburg's old town. This "unfavorable" traffic situation has prompted many companies to move to the suburbs. The Stiftsbäckerei has remained the only bakery that produces and sells bread in the old town. Most of our customers reach us by bike or on foot. Bread is transported to the market and to nearby shops by handcart.
The wood is delivered with a natural gas vehicle, the bread is delivered over longer distances with a plug-in hybrid vehicle that is charged with our in-house hydropower.
The nearest public transport stations are: Hanuschplatz, Rathaus, Mozartsteg, and H.-v.-Kajaran-Platz. Access by car is possible in the morning via Mozartplatz. (Please note that you have to return by 10:30 a.m. at the latest.) There is also good accessibility via the Mönchsberg garage from the Toscaninihof exit.
